New Tool from NSE

National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India has launched a new feature/page on it’s website (www.nseindia.com) – SPARKLINES.

A useful tool to view the trend of stock prices among the major indices in the exchange – NIFTY, JR. NIFTY, CNX IT, BANK NIFTY & NIFTY MIDCAP 50. In a single page it provides in the current price information of the index constituents and also details of 52-week high, low and Past 365days & Past 30days price movement – as percentage & as a small graph.

So on one page you can compare the movement of the various stocks on the day, over the last month & last year. Pretty useful tool esp. the minature graph.

The list can be sorted on SYMBOL, % CHANGE TODAY, 365DAYS % CHANGE & 30DAYS % CHANGE.

Clicking on the SYMBOL will open a detail page for the selected script.

Another interesting feature is the colour coding of the scripts that are near their 52 Week High or low values.

NSE can improve this page by enabling detailed full-page graphs which open on clicking the minature graphs.
